EllipticalTraining Reviews

After reading some of the elliptical training reviews online, I decided to give this interesting piece of equipment a try. After my recent knee surgery, I had a hard time getting back into a workout routine, and my traditional treadmill was just too stressful for my knee.

After trying a few of the machines at my local health club, I knew that this was for me! Elliptical trainers are fun and provide a great workout with very little stress on the joints. They are designed to be low impact, and they seem to be easier to use than even a stationary bicycle for someone with joint problems.

Many of the machines offer a dual workout with upper body movement as well, and the onboard electronics allow the user to customize resistance and workouts to keep the activity challenging. Most displays offer calories burned, time on the machine and several different resistance levels and workout modes. Several even offer interval training.

In forward motion, the machine simulates jogging or cross country skiing effectively, and in reverse, it provides a workout for a whole different set of muscles.

Most interesting, the elliptical trainer helped burn more calories at what seemed to be less effort. Since there is no impact and you can work both the upper and lower body at the same time, you get a much more rounded workout in the same amount of time.

Walking on a treadmill can be tedious and boring, but the elliptical training reviews are right, this machine is a great choice for anyone looking for a fun, effective cardiovascular workout.
